Angry Son Sets Fathers House Ablaze.

Property worth millions of naira were yesterday razed when an angry son, Moshood Omolaso, set his father’s house ablaze.

The house is located at 28, Baale Street, Ojodu, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

Moshood, who is now at large, was said to have set the house, occupied by more than 10 tenants, ablaze at about 6 p.m. yesterday.

Before the arrival of the Lagos State fire service men at the scene, the entire main building as well as the boys quarters had burnt down.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the incident, which came as a huge shock to many people, occurred after what was described as a minor misunderstanding between Moshood and his stepmother.

“It was after the quarrel that his father went to meet him outside. He thought the man was taking sides so he threatened to set the house, which is his father’s only asset, ablaze. Nobody took him seriously until he went to get petrol and set the house on fire from his stepmother’s room,” a tenant in the house told P.M NEWS, adding that Moshood had always been threatening to set his father’s house ablaze.

P.M.NEWS gathered that when the incident occurred, most of the tenants were not around, so they could not salvage their properties from the house.

When our reporter visited the scene of the incident this morning, sympathisers were there consoling the victims, while some of them were seen counting their losses.

One of the tenants who is an old pensioner survived by whiskers. He was sleeping when the fire gutted his room.

Moshood, who attended Omole Grammar School, Ojodu, took to his heels immediately he set the house ablaze.

He is the first child of his father. His mother had separated from his father.

His father, Mr. Omolaso, was speaking incoherently when our reporter made efforts to interview him this morning.

He said: “I didn’t want to kill him (Moshood) before, but now I will kill him…”

Ex Assistant Commisioner Of Police Wife Kills 2 Children In Lagos

Mrs. Rabiat Oyenuga, the wife of a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, has been accused of crushing two children - David and Elizabeth Lawani, to death.

It was learnt that Rabiat, also hit the children’s mother, Ibiyemi, with her car along Apapa Road, Ebute-Meta, Lagos on Sunday.

Ibiyemi, who is in a critical condition at the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Meta, and her children were returning from a church service when the incident occurred.

Ibiyemi’s husband, Oluwaseyi, said that shortly before the accident, his wife called him with a pay phone that she and the children were going to Christ Apostolic Church (Chapel of Testimony parish), Apapa Road.

He said, “I should have gone with them but I was invited to perform with a choir at another church. So, I told Ibiyemi that I would pick them up later at the church they were to attend.

“Unfortunately, it rained heavily on that day. So, I was unable to meet them as planned.” Unknown to Oluwaseyi, that was the last time he would see his children alive.

He said, “Around 2pm, while I was still in the church, I received a call from the same number, which my wife had earlier used, that she and my children were involved in an auto accident on Apapa Road.

“I left the church immediately and on getting to the scene, I saw blood all over the ground and a Toyota Sienna with registration number FR 902 LND parked nearby.

“After inquiring from eyewitnesses, I was told that my family had been taken to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba.”

The Abia violation Story Spreads To International Newspapers And News Websites

The rape video which has been making waves around Nigerian blogs has now gone viral, as international websites and newspaper like HuffingtonPost Dailymail WashingtonPost and YahooNews are reporting the story. The video is a shorter version of a video which shows an ABSU (Abia State University) student being raped for hours, by 5 young men who claims she insulted them.

This is very bad for a country like Nigeria which is suffering from bad international reputation, reading comments on these above mentioned websites just shows how bad this story destroys our reputation. WIFE OF ABIA STATE GOVERNOR SPEAKS OUT ON GANG RAPE CONTROVERSY>

The Office of Her Excellency, Mrs Mercy Odochi Orji is absolutely not oblivious of the current news making the rounds; alleging a rape case of a young woman and a student of Abia State University by FIVE male students.

The Office of Her Excellency, wishes to make it categorically clear that available report from the leadership of the University said that there was no such inglorious act and ugly incident in the institution.

His Excellency, Chief T. A. Orji, the Executive Governor of Abia State has investigated and still investigating the allegation. However, we appeal that the victim should help by giving a lead to enable government bring perpetrators to book.

Her Excellency has been at the forefront of championing the course of womanhood and promoting the Girl Child Education, Kicking against Child trafficking and Abuse, Teenage Pregnancy and Child Labour, and would therefore stop at nothing to bring the perpetrators to face the long arm of the law if allegation if found to be true even if happened outside the institution.

The report as a matter of necessity, justice and fair play should be substantiated with facts in the interest of our society.

Police Charge 10 Undergraduate Prostitues To Court.

Ten female undergraduates were on Monday arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos for habouring and practicing prostitution.

The women are standing trial on a three-count charge of managing a brothel, unhealthy conduct and engaging in prostitution.

The Prosecutor, Sgt Ngonbo Emby, said that the accused persons were on Sept. 14 at about 10 p.m. at Ruxton Road, Ikoyi, found engaging in the unlawful act of prostitution.

He said that one of the accused, Duru,was being charged for allowing her residence to be used for the purpose of prostitution

Enugu State Governor Impregnates Wife's Younger Sister

A big sex scandal is currently rocking the Enugu government house. At the centre of the sex scandal is the state governor, Sullivan Chime and his sister-in-law, Ebere Igwe. Ebere is the younger sister of Clara Chime, the governor’s wife and first lady of Enugu state. It was reliably gathered from sources in Enugu that a secret romantic affair between Chime and his sister-in-law has recently produced a baby boy.

A source in Enugu Government House disclosed that the affair between Governor Chime and Ebere, started shortly after he married Clara in October 2008. The lavish traditional marriage held at Isuochi home town of the Igwe’s costed the state government a fortune, not minding the fact that Chime was marrying Clara as a second wife, having divorced his first wife from Ogakwu family in Udi town where he hails from.

After the ceremony, Clara moved into the Governor’s lodge with her younger sister, Ebere who just graduated fromAbiaStateUniversity. Unknown to the first lady, this was the beginning of an affair between her husband and Ebere. Few months after, the first lady noticed that the Governor was always eyeing Ebere, and became suspicious of them.

Not wanting to lose her husband to her younger sister, the first lady suggested that her sister should go abroad for her masters degree. However, by the time Ebere left the country for her post graduate programme abroad, she was already into a deep relationship with the Governor. She benefitted a brand newToyotacar and frequent overseas trips from the relationship which continued even while she was studying abroad.

The affair however blew open sometime last year when Ebere returned to the country after her studies abroad and told the first lady that she was pregnant for the governor. According to sources, Clara was so shocked to the point that she became emotionally wrecked. The first lady was taken to Rev. Fr. Njoku’s Upper Room Ministries at Emene Enugu for prayers and later, her mother took her to a native doctor who succeeded in stabilizing her mind, even as the governor turned a blind eye to her situation.

 The first lady thereafter told her younger sister to abort the pregnancy, but she refused. The first lady reportedly sent thugs after her younger sister, and when the governor got wind of the plan, he made special security arrangements for her. To make sure that the pregnancy was not tampered with, the governor sent Ebere to theUnited Stateswhere she eventually delivered a baby boy recently.

However, the first lady swore not to allow her younger sister into government house again. Ebere’s whereabouts remain unknown, although an unconfirmed source said that she is nursing the baby at the governor’s Udi country home. The scandal has forced the first lady to maintain low profile to the point that she sends either the wife of the Secretary to State Government or Speaker of the House of assembly to represent her in public functions. She no longer attends her weekly prayer programme.

Wife Sends Men To Beat Husband Up

For 43-year-old Vincent Omeje, this was not what he bargained for when he tied the knots with his wife, Chidera twelve years ago. The Nsukka, Enugu State- born trader was attacked by five armed men who stormed his apartment at No. 10, Awka-Etiti Street, Comfort Obot, Kirikiri, Lagos and gave him a beaten of his life. In fact, his attackers left him to die from serious injuries he sustained...He was however lucky as his they left him when they thought he was dead. Shockingly, the man who led the five armed attackers to his home, was the younger brother to his wife, and he allegedly ordered his goons to snuff life out of his in-law.

Narrating his ordeal to Crime Guard from his hospital bed, Mr. Omeje said; “It started early this month when I returned from a trip to Abuja and when I got home, I discovered that my wife had allowed her siblings into our home and they were not ready to leave any sooner.

After waiting for some days for them to pack and leave back to their homes, I realized that they were not even ready to go. So, I was left with no other option than to ask them to leave.

'Police Inspector' Rapes 15-Year-Old Girl, at gun point

An Inspector of Police attached to Maradun Local Government Divisional Police headquarters in Zamfara State and a civilian are being accused of raping a 15year-old girl.

Inspector Abdullahi Ibrahim and Aliyu Ibrahim (alias August) who are held at the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Gusau, allegedly raped the 15-year-old (names withheld) at gunpoint on her way back from a Sallah outing on September 2, 2011 Daily Trust gathered.

It was learnt that the victim was in the company of her female friend when they were stopped at about 630pm by the Police officer who was on guard duty at the divisional police station in Maradun.

According to the father, the Inspector challenged the girls to explain how they came about the picture of some Fulani men they were holding, whom he described as wanted armed robbery suspects.

Man Dies While Trying To Steal From A Grave

What will someone not hear in this country...This  unidentified man, in his thirties, was found dead yesterday at a grave site, while apparently attempting to rob a corpse in Kazaure, Jigawa State..

The man was said to be attempting to exhume the corpse, which had been buried earlier on

Sunday morning, in an effort to steal some valuables said to have been buried with it.

While making the attempt, the loose earth collapsed, trapping the man as shown in the picture. He died on the spot.

He was found, hours later, dead, but onlookers said it appeared that he had struggled to free himself from the grave site, but could not.

From the injuries sustained on his head, it was apparent that he had hit his head on an object in the grave which, perhaps, made him unable to free himself.

Also, sympathisers said he might have been knocked unconscious, and so could not have been able to shout for help.

Investigations could not, however, ascertain how he was related to the corpse, or how he knew what valuables had been buried with it, as his corpse was yet to be claimed at the time of filing this report.

Five-year-old girl mutilated by ritualists back on her feet after a vagina reconstruction

Her name is Pwashikai Nideno. She is aged five and a proud survivor of a brutal attack by a two-man gang of suspected ritualists in Dong village of Adamawa State, which resulted in the mutilation of her vagina and intestine.

Even doctors who treated little Pwashikai, who was brought to the Yola Specialists Hospital on the morning of May 7th soaked in her own pool of blood - and her intestine dangling outside her body – expressed amazement at her tenacity for life. However, the good news is that four months after the acts of bestiality carried out on her, the little girl, whom doctors said needed a surgery to reconstruct her badly damaged vagina was, over the weekend, flown back into the country from Hansel Rock Hospital in Cairo, Egypt, where the vaginoplasty operation - a corrective surgery to reconstruct the vagina - was carried out. The surgery was made possible by donations from Nigerians moved by the plight of the child following media attention to her ordeal, led by NEXT.

The head surgeon at the Yola Specialists Hospital, Chuks Azubuike who led a team of doctors who carried out a set of two operations on the little girl to stabilise her upon admission, had expressed worry that the child’s family could not afford the necessary operation.

Little Pwashikai’s misfortune seemed to have occurred at a most inauspicious time, as her father was also at the time hospitalised at the Numan General Hospital and at the fringes of death. Family members had concealed the news of Pwashikai’s attack away from him for fear that the knowledge of the incident might further aggravate his already deteriorating medical condition and possibly hasten his death. He passed on a month afterwards, never knowing what befell his little daughter.

Upon publication of the attack, however, a horrified public quickly dug into their purse to restore her hope of womanhood....

Am happy that the girl has been treated and she is now recuperating.

House Maid Stabs Footballer To Death!

Pandemonium broke out recently when a 19-year old boy, Arochukwu Eze was stabbed to death by a 21-year-old girl, Gloria Effiong. The tragic incident occurred at No.6 Gbadebo Street, Ijesha Lagos, where both the victim and his attacker lived with their respective guardians. They were said to have a history of inexplicable enmity.

The ugly incident took place on the morning of September 13, 2011, when the two rivals met at the tap downstairs. One of the eye witnesses, Ijoma Hyacinth, narrated the plot of the cold murder:

 “I was in my house when I sighted her stabbing him with a dagger. As she was stabbing him, the boy was running and screaming. By the time he was rescued from the hand of his aggressor, the 19-year-old had lost so much blood from his fatal wound that he died soon after even as spirited efforts were made to get him to the hospital, where he was pronounced Dead On Arrival.”

The alleged killer, Gloria Effiong, who is a house maid to one of the tenants, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Ekpanam, lamented that her action was not premeditated. According to the 21-year-old maid, she only brought out the dagger to scare him away when a fight ensued between them.

Abia State University Student Gang- Raped By 5 boys

 

A female student of the Abia State University, South Eastern Nigeria was gang raped by five boys of the same institution.

The rape incident happened on Tuesday, August 16, 2011.

These boys raped this girl, recorded it, passed it round their friends, who then passed it round ABSU campus.

According to source,her offence was that she supposedly insulted one of the boys.

The rape video lasted for about an hour, the girl screamed for help, but no one was there to rescue her.

Some of the names mentioned in the video include Uchenna, Wisdom and Chigbo, who is supposedly doing his Industrial Attachment (IT).
How do we ensure that the perpetrators of this crime get the punishment that they deserve?

I have the video...one hour of it on my laptop, and 10 minutes of it on my phone...but the rape was more than an hour, she went through this ordeal for several hours. Uploading this video online is not an option, but I want people who can do something about this to see it.

These boys can’t get away with this. Please if there’s any Women Rights Group, police, lawyers, journalists, who can take this up, please contact me; I will bring the video to you, wherever you are or send via email.

The Abia State Governor, Dr Theodore Orji, the Abia State University authorities and Nigeria’s Police Force must rise up and bring the culprits to book.

And whoever you rapists are; you don’t mess with God’s creation. The God I serve will never let you get away with this. HE is coming after you! Just watch! You bastard animals!...
